Corporate tax strategy

A well-designed corporate tax strategy ensures tax-related security as well as tax-related predictability and stability in the business.

What can your company gain?

Thanks to a tax strategy, a company is able to implement its tax policy safely, i.e. in a planned, transparent and predictable way; not only does such a tax strategy have a significant impact on the good perception of a taxpayer by tax authorities, but also, in the long run, on the company’s financial condition and results as well as its standing on the market.

From January 1, 2021, the Corporate Income Tax Act (hereinafter: the CIT Act) obliged the following entities to prepare and publish information on the tax strategy applied:

  • CIT taxpayers with revenues exceeding EUR 50 million in the tax year,
  • tax capital groups regardless of the amount of revenues

The CIT amendment act does not provide for any specific transitional regulations, therefore taxpayers are required to prepare and publish a tax strategy for 2020 by December 31, 2021.

What should you focus on?

Secure and confident application of tax regulations in your business is definitely the most vital issue. Amendments to such provisions pose many risks to businesses. No wonder that management boards of companies are concerned not only about the security and future of the businesses they manage, but also about their personal security exposed to risk due to any potential fines, penal and fiscal penalties, and even criminal sanctions for them.
