On November 27, 2025, representatives of business, local government, universities, financial institutions, and the sports community met at the newly opened Marcin Nitschke Snooker Academy in Zielona Góra to discuss the future of the Lubuskie region's economy. Their presence, energy, and willingness to engage in dialogue made the inauguration of cooperation in the Lubuskie region more than just another event – it became the beginning of a real dialogue.
A Meeting That Launches Partnerships
The formal Inauguration of Cooperation in the Lubuskie Region provided an opportunity to explore the perspectives and experiences of diverse groups – from entrepreneurs and investors, through local government officials, to representatives of science and sports.
The common thread throughout the discussions was the region's potential: its location, the role of SMEs, growing foreign investment, and the growing ambitions of local communities.
Participants agreed that Lubuskie has everything it takes to become an even stronger economic powerhouse in Poland – provided that various groups work together, not side by side.
What was discussed?
During the meeting, key topics for the region were discussed, including:
- how to wisely leverage the potential of SMEs and foreign investments,
- how to build bridges between businesses, local government, and administration,
- how to transform tax, regulatory, and technological challenges into a competitive advantage,
- how to combine economic development with social and environmental responsibility (ESG),
- how to invest in human skills, which are becoming the "new currency" of the economy.
The discussions demonstrated that the region has room not only for individual projects, but also for long-term partnerships that can significantly increase Lubuskie's investment attractiveness.
From Winery to Snooker Academy – A Symbol of Change
It was no coincidence that the event was held at the newly opened Marcin Nitschke Snooker Academy, located in the former Lubuska Winery at 16 Moniuszki Street in Zielona Góra.
This place – on the one hand, harkening back to the region's history and grape harvest traditions, and on the other, a modern sports and business space – became a natural symbol of change.
Just as good wine requires time, work, and care, the region's sustainable development requires consistency, cooperation, and people who share a common goal.
What's next?
The inauguration in Zielona Góra is just the beginning of a broader process. Participants expressed specific ideas for:
- joint business and educational projects,
- initiatives connecting businesses, local government, and universities,
- activities supporting the development of human resources skills in the region,
- collaboration around ESG issues and new regulations.
The coming months will be a time to translate these ideas into action – to truly strengthen the Lubuskie economy and create attractive conditions for the development of local businesses.
The event was organized by PKF Polska, with Marcin Nitschke serving as ambassador, and Focus On Business serving as media patron.
