PKF Polska Partner in a Debate on the Role of Supervisory Boards in the Energy Transition

PKF Polska will participate in a seminar of the Corporate Governance Academy, organized in cooperation with the Polish Agency for Audit Oversight (PANA), titled: “Supervisory Boards of Energy Companies in the Face of Transformation Challenges”, which will take place on March 20 (Friday), from 9:30 to 14:00 in an online format.

Mirosława Cienkowska – Certified Auditor, Audit Partner at PKF Polska – will participate in Panel III: “Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the energy transition strategy by the supervisory board,” dedicated to the practical aspects of overseeing the execution of transformation strategies in companies within the energy sector.The Role of Supervisory Boards in the Transformation Process

The aim of the seminar is to define the role and responsibilities of supervisory boards in overseeing the energy transition – from strategy development, through financing, to reporting outcomes and managing risks. The event will also serve as a platform for exchanging experiences and promoting best practices in corporate governance.

The energy transition is a process that involves not only technological changes but also a profound transformation of business models, investment processes, and governance and oversight principles. It requires the adaptation of supervisory mechanisms to new regulatory, financial, and environmental realities.
