On 26 May and 6 June, expert lectures were held at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin for full-time and part-time Master's students enrolled in the Tax Advisory and Tax Administration programmes. The sessions were delivered by Agnieszka Chamera, Managing Partner of the Tax Advisory Practice at PKF Polska.
The invitation to participate in this initiative was the result of the successful cooperation between PKF Polska and the Faculty of Law and Administration of UMCS, as well as recognition of our firm's expertise in the areas of law, taxation, and business advisory services.
The lectures focused on the tax aspects of mergers and demergers of capital companies. Their primary objective was to discuss the practical application of tax regulations using real-life transactions as examples and to highlight the role and importance of tax advisors in restructuring processes.
Particular attention was devoted to identifying key tax risks associated with corporate restructurings and examining the practical implications of the applicable regulations. The topics were presented in the context of actual transaction projects and advisory experience, enabling participants to gain insight into the challenges faced by modern businesses.
We are pleased to share our knowledge and experience with future legal professionals and to support the development of practical academic education.
We would like to thank the Faculty of Law and Administration of UMCS for the invitation and for the opportunity to participate in this valuable initiative.
